This product is a voltage/current conversion adapter developed for current-mode signaling in order to reduce cable loss and external noise. It is an active adapter (include AC adapter) when connecting conventional voltage-mode sound sources with our current-mode products (model S505i etc.). It works the opposite of model S206i above. It is effective to install this adapter as close as possible to the voltage output device of the sending side and connect it with the shortest distance. On the other hand, since the current-mode (impedance 0 Ω) is made between the current input device of the receiving side, the cable can be lengthened.
If you need long distance transmission of analog signal, the combination of S206i and S208i provides low loss, low noise solution.
