SR-X1 is a new entry-level model that recreates the traditional circular earspeakers with a modern design concept. Delivering authentic electrostatic sound to the next generation. The heritage design, based on the previous generations of earspeakers, SR-1 and SR-X, reflects this desire.
Newly designed medium-sized circular unit with flat and neutral reproducibility
A newly designed medium-sized circular unit is installed in the sound unit, which is the basis of the sound quality. It features flat and neutral reproducibility, which is a characteristic of the electrostatic earspeakers. Compared to the previous models, the sound unit is directly mounted inside the enclosure, and the number of the joints between the parts are reduced as much as possible to achieve an accurate and clear-shaped sound. The back slit structure of the outside is not uniformly thick, but smoothly curved. This shape allows sound waves to pass naturally to the outside to reduce distortion. In terms of the mechanism, a re-cable structure is adopted. The rational designs for high sound quality maximizes performance from SR-X1.
Improved arc design and fit
Metal materials for the frame structure eliminate unnecessary vibrations. The rigidity of the arc assembly, which was often overlooked in previous entry-level models, has also been updated. By actively adopting metal materials, the arc and headpads are integrated into a single unit, and the light weight prevents listening fatigue even after long time listening. The ear pads are made of sheepskin, which is nice to touch. For the inside of the earpads, the memory foam is adopted for a better fit.
