The WE-712 is a long version of the WE-709, SAEC's new generation double-knife-edge tonearm, which has been redesigned from the ground up in terms of design, structure, and materials to create a tonearm suitable for modern analog playback environments.
The small offset angle unique to the long arm minimizes tracking error and ensures stable playback. The double-knife-edge mechanism, newly designed during the development of the WE-709, achieves even higher sensitivity and rigidity by increasing the diameter of the knives and revising the structure of the blade holder. Furthermore, the inside force canceller mechanism employs a completely new mechanism that has been re-examined from the perspective of vibration countermeasures. The WE-712 achieves accurate and stable tracking ability, transmitting without loss the subtle musical signals picked up by the phono cartridge from the microgrooves of the record, and awakening the music from the groove of the record.
